Hola… A lo largo del año una de las celebraciones litúrgicas que recuerdo con mayor y más entrañable cariño es la celebración del Corpus Christi. En mi pequeño pueblo de la provincia de León, entre montañas y caudalosos ríos, está asentada una población de no más de 200 habitantes, que es donde nací y donde viví mi infancia y adolescencia. Su gente es profundamente religiosa y como tal su religiosidad nace de lo más profundo de su corazón.
La celebración del Corpus Christi comenzaba el miércoles anterior, donde los niños de la escuela íbamos al campo a recoger pequeñas ramas de árboles, gras y flores que, en los meses de mayo o junio, según cayera la Fiesta del Corpus Christi, estaba todo florecido. Ayudados por nuestros padres, teníamos en común la ilusión de saber que el jueves, el pueblo se encontraba engalanado para que la Sagrada Custodia recorriera nuestras calles y todos sintiéramos la bendición del cielo. Al medio día, don Patrocinio -que era el Párroco- vestía sus mejores galas para dar inicio a la Santa Misa, seguida de la procesión haciendo el recorrido por el pueblo. Para esto, las campanas del campanario, tanto antes de comenzar la misa como después de la procesión, no dejaban de tañer alegres y cantarinas. Eran campanas inmensas que se encontraban ubicadas en la cima de una atalaya (que era una torre de gran altura, construida por los romanos, para que los soldados, desde ella, pudieran ver si venían enemigos a robarles el oro que extraían de las médulas que hay en mi pueblo). Siglos después, la atalaya se convirtió en campanario y al lado se construyó el templo de piedra.
Todo este marco histórico y geográfico me lleva a pensar que en mi vida los más grandes momentos vividos siguen siendo imborrables y ellos me han ayudado a vivir mi fe con un mayor compromiso. En el Corpus Christi se celebra la presencia real de Cristo en la Eucaristía, al igual que en cada misa se hace presente a través del pan y del vino a la hora de la consagración, y se recibe en la comunión. No solo está en nuestros corazones, sino que nos comprometemos a llevarlo donde vayamos, con esa luminosidad que viví de niño en la Fiesta del Corpus Christi y con ese respeto sagrado de quienes, teniendo fe, sabemos del gran regalo que Cristo nos dio al quedarse con nosotros.
