Genes or environment? Traits inherited and learnt from parents allow us to appear unique. A combination of abilities, physical characteristics, interests, and biography shape who we are. During the first unit of inquiry, our six grade students investigated different fields that influence the identity of a person.
Putting into practice what they learnt in class along with their research and communications skills, they represented their findings using different strategies like a handy family tree and graphic organizers about different topics.
Quiénes somos
¿Genes o ambiente? Los rasgos heredados y aprendidos de nuestros padres nos permiten ser únicos. La combinación de habilidades, características físicas, intereses, y las experiencias definen quiénes somos. Durante la primera unidad de indagación, nuestros estudiantes de 6.° grado realizaron investigaciones sobre los distintos ámbitos que influyen en la identidad de una persona.
Utilizando lo aprendido y sus habilidades de investigación y comunicación, los estudiantes representaron lo indagado a través de diversas estrategias como un árbol familiar y organizadores visuales de información.
